SYNTHAGENDER
Coined by Scribblue
What Is It?
Synthagender is a xenogender for those who align with femininity in the way that it is modeled by androids and robots. It embraces a sort of “synthetic femininity”; aka, the feeling that you have carefully curated your fem-leaning presentation yet it is somehow artificial and/or not inherently linked to the way you experience gender (similar to how androids might process/understand it).
Who Can Use It?
Synthagender isn’t specifically about identifying as an android/ nonhuman/ otherkin/ etc, but anyone is free to adopt the label if it resonates with them (especially other ND folks)! All pronouns welcome.
The pinkish-gray stripe represents a connection to androids/robots, the mauve stripe represents an unconventional attachment to femininity, and the white stripe represents the nonbinary/trans umbrella.
The binary code, when translated, reads "synthagender".
Why Did You Make It?
I originally created synthogender as a way to better explain my gender identity, and it ended up resonating with a lot more people than I expected! A couple transfem folks asked if there was a fem version of it, so I created this sibling identity: synthagender!

Note: I'm not trans-fem myself so if there are any characters you want me to add/remove from this list, leave me a comment on my TikTok!
